May the gods make this a lucky day for Antony!

Would thou and those thy scars had once prevailed To make me fight at land!

I wish you and those scars of yours had managed, just once, to persuade me to fight on land!

Hadst thou done so, The kings that have revolted and the soldier That has this morning left thee would have still Followed thy heels.

If you had done that, the kings who have deserted you and the soldier who left you this morning would still be following at your heels.
