Pricing

Reading is free. The feedback runs on credits.

Storgy is free to read — every poem, every device page, every comparison. What costs us money is the AI, so that's what we charge for: one run, one credit, on any AI tool — for your poems and your stories alike. Pick a monthly allowance and spend it however you like. The non-AI tools — syllable counter, citation generator, rhyme-scheme finder and friends — never touch your balance.

What your credits are for

One credit buys one honest read.

Reading and exploring the corpus stay free. Credits power the AI runs that read your own writing back to you.

Rate my poem

An honest 1–10 score with sub-scores for imagery, rhythm, originality, emotion, and craft.

Score my story

The same honest read for fiction — prose, character, plot, pacing, and dialogue.

Check a draft, line by line

Weak lines named, fixes explained — grammar, meter, show-don't-tell — for poems and prose.

Feedback at the Writing Desk

Draft privately, keep versions, and ask for a read without leaving the page.

The house rule

Our AI reads, teaches, and tells you the truth about a draft. It never writes the poem.

The words stay yours — verse or prose. Every credit buys judgment: a score, a weak line named, a fix explained, never ghost-writing. That holds for your stories as much as your poems, on every plan, which is why a Storgy critique is one you can put your own name under.

How many credits do I need?

Pick a plan by how much you run the tools

One AI run equals one credit, on every plan.

The Writing Desk

A desk for the draft.

Write poems and stories in a private drafting space — grouped into projects (a collection of poems, a story in chapters), with version history and DOCX or PDF export on every plan. Ask any AI tool for a read without leaving the page. Goals, streaks and a weekly insight card come free on every plan, counted in lines and stanzas as readily as words. Share-for-feedback links are the paid extra — and the ones you've made keep working whatever happens to your plan. Free accounts get two projects; every paid plan lifts that to unlimited.

Billing principles

No tricks in the small print.

01

Credits reset monthly

Your allowance refills every month — on yearly plans too. Unused credits don't roll over, and we'd rather tell you that here than in a footnote.

02

30-day warning on yearly renewals

An email with the renewal amount and a cancel link, 30 days before a yearly charge. A monthly plan renews every 30 days, so that email would land the day after each charge — we don't send it.

03

Two-click cancel

Cancel from your account at /billing/cancel/. No phone calls, no retention scripts.

04

Refunds inside 30 days

We refund the unused part of a charge — days held or credits spent, whichever is greater. Full policy at /legal/refunds/.

What's in each plan

Every feature, every plan, line by line.

Paid plans differ by exactly one thing: how many credits you get each month. Everything else is included on all of them.

Questions

Things people ask before paying for this.

What exactly is a credit?

One run of any AI tool — the analyzers, the checkers, the raters, Work Q&A — costs one credit. Long poem or short, one run is one credit. The non-AI tools never touch your balance.

Will Storgy's AI write a poem or story for me?

No — that's the house rule. Our AI reads, teaches, and tells you the truth about a draft; it never writes the poem, and it never writes the story. We retired our generator tools on purpose. Every credit buys a critique you can act on, and the words stay yours.

What is the Writing Desk?

A private drafting space at /desk/ — write poems and stories, group them into projects (a collection of poems, a story in chapters), keep version history, and ask the AI tools for feedback on the draft without leaving the page. Feedback runs cost the usual one credit; the writing itself never does. Poems also get a gutter in the margin — syllable counts on every line, free on every plan, with meter hints, the rhyme scheme, and rhyme colors on paid plans — plus form scaffolds (sonnet to sestina, with refrain tracking) on paid plans, and a read-aloud recording of your draft at 1 credit a reading, replays of unchanged text free. Once something is on the page you can select a stanza or a paragraph and ask for feedback on just that passage — 1 credit a run, replays of unchanged text free — or open the Workshop tab for a craft conversation that has read your draft, at 1 credit a message. Paid plans also get instant computed reports (echoes, rhythm, pacing, dialogue tags, meter wobble) that never spend a credit, plus AI reports and a corpus benchmark that sets your sonnet beside the public-domain shelf, at 1 credit a report. Goals, streaks and the weekly insight card are free on every plan and never spend a credit — set a target in words, lines, stanzas or drafts and the Desk counts it as you write. Every piece and every project exports to DOCX or PDF, on every plan. Free accounts get two projects; every paid plan lifts that to unlimited.

Do I have to pay to set writing goals?

No. Goals, streaks and the weekly insight card are free on every plan, free accounts included, and they never spend a credit. Charging for the thing that gets you to the desk struck us as backwards. Set a target in words, lines, stanzas or drafts — poets get counted in the units they actually write in — and the Desk counts as you type: no logging your own numbers at the end of the day. What's left respreads itself over the days you have, and the days you told us you're not writing are left alone. Streaks are forgiving on purpose: seven counted days earns a freeze, a missed day pauses your run instead of ending it, and writing again inside the grace window picks it up where it was. Your best run is kept whatever happens.

Can I share a draft to get feedback on it?

Yes, on any paid plan. Pin a version and you get a private link — nothing indexed, nothing searchable, nothing that appears anywhere on Storgy. Whoever you send it to can leave a comment on a particular stanza or paragraph, or just leave kudos, without making an account. Creating links is the paid part. Links you have already made keep working, and you can revoke any of them at any time, on any plan — the same promise as export: what you've already made is never held hostage to a subscription.

How far back does version history go?

Seven days on the free plan, 30 days on Starter, a year on Plus, unlimited on Pro. Versions that fall outside your window aren't deleted — they're just out of reach, and the moment you upgrade they're back. Nothing you wrote is ever thrown away to make a tier look smaller.

What happens to my drafts if I cancel?

They stay yours, and they leave with you. DOCX and PDF export works on every plan — the free one included — so you can take every draft and every project out of Storgy whenever you like, subscribed or not. Cancelling never locks a word of your own writing behind a paywall.

Do credits roll over?

No. Your allowance resets every month, on yearly plans too. We'd rather say that plainly here than let you find it in a support thread. If you keep hitting zero, the next plan up costs less per credit.

Which tools are free?

All the non-AI tools, unlimited, for everyone, no account needed: syllable counter, citation generator, rhyme-scheme finder, iambic pentameter checker, limerick checker, and alliteration checker. The corpus — /poems/, /devices/, /forms/, /compare/ — is also free to read. AI runs are the only metered thing: one without an account, one more with a free account, and those two are one-time, not daily.

What happened to the Student and Teacher plans?

Retired for new signups. Existing subscribers keep their plan and their price until they cancel — nothing changes for them. The new plans are credit-based because "how many runs do I get" turned out to be the only question that mattered.

How does yearly billing work?

Yearly plans are billed upfront for twelve months at half the monthly rate — Starter is $108 instead of $216, Plus $348 instead of $696, Pro $588 instead of $1,176. Credits still reset every month. The 30-day usage-adjusted refund window works exactly as it does on monthly. The 30-day pre-renewal email is yearly-only, and this is the plan it was built for: it flags the charge that arrives eleven months after you last thought about it.

What payment methods do you accept?

Card, through Stripe, with iBuild.io LLC trading as Storgy as the seller of record — your statement will read STORGY.COM. Stripe handles strong customer authentication and renewal billing; we never store your card. Subscribers who joined before we moved checkout to Stripe are still billed by Paddle as merchant of record, and nothing about their subscription changes. Refunds go back to the same payment method on both.

Is tax included in the price?

The prices on this page are before tax. Any VAT or sales tax we are required to collect for your location is worked out at checkout and added on top, and the checkout page shows you the full total before you pay anything. Where we hold no tax registration covering your location, that line is zero. Subscribers still billed by Paddle keep tax-inclusive pricing — the figure they were shown at checkout was the final one, and it stays that way.

Bring a draft. Keep your voice.

Poems and stories read for free — an honest read of your own, whenever you want one.

See the plans

What you're agreeing to

Clean billing, in writing.

Every charge has a named seller of record. Subscriptions opened before we moved checkout to Stripe are sold by Paddle as merchant of record, with VAT inside the price. Since the move, the seller of record is iBuild.io LLC trading as Storgy — your statement reads STORGY.COM, and the listed price is before tax, with any VAT or sales tax we must collect for your location added at checkout and shown in the total before you pay. Card data never touches Storgy servers either way. On a yearly plan a renewal email lands 30 days before the charge, with the amount and a cancel link. Refunds go back to the same payment method, on every plan.
