Will you sign the SDPC National DPA?
Yes — pre-signed before pilot starts, available as a PDF at /legal/dpa.pdf. We are listed as Operator. Sub-processors: Anthropic, OpenAI, Resend, Paddle, Hetzner. Data residency: EU (Hetzner Falkenstein). Deletion timelines and breach-notification windows in writing in the contract.
What about UK GDPR and the DPIA?
Storgy supplies DPIA support documentation on request — listing data flows, sub-processors, retention periods, and the lawful basis for each processing operation. Cyber Essentials Plus is on the roadmap for 2026; we are happy to send a security questionnaire response before that lands if your IT lead needs one.
Are student inputs used to train AI models?
No. Anthropic's API terms forbid it for paid API use, and our contract with you will state it explicitly. Student inputs to our analyser tools are stored only as long as needed to render the result, then deleted. Audit trail on request.
How do you handle KCSiE 2024 and the DfE generative-AI guidance?
KCSiE 2024 makes filtering and monitoring the DSL's responsibility — Storgy is a study-guide and analysis tool, not a chat platform, and doesn't generate user-to-user content. The DfE's 2025 generative-AI guidance asks that personal data not be passed to AI tools without prior agreement; our DPA spells out what is and isn't sent to which sub-processor.
Why pilot for twelve to eighteen weeks?
Long enough to teach a full poetry unit and a mock exam cycle; short enough that a department can run it inside a single term without committing budget. Three teachers plus the HoD is enough surface for honest feedback. We send a written debrief at the end whether you sign on or not.
What if it doesn't work for us?
