Welcome to “The Paperchain Podcast” on YouTube!
What is The Paperchain Podcast, you ask?
It’s a podcast hosted by Daniel Carpenter. He’s a writer, book reviewer, and Mancunian living in London. Series 1 of The Paperchain Podcast was a 10 episode series that began airing in Spring 2016. Each episode features an interview with an author or poet about their work, and the way they approach their writing. After that, they read a brand new piece of work written specifically for The Paperchain Podcast using a prompt set by the previous week’s guest, thus creating a chain that will link every episode together.
STORGY and Daniel are partnering up to showcase Paperchain Podcast in its infinite glory. We’ll be uploading the first series every day for the next 10 days and when the second series goes live we will upload each new episode on our YouTube Channel.

EPISODE 1:
Dominic Stevenson
Dominic Stenenson is a writer with his roots in the post-industrial north of England. His aim is to take part in, and positively influence, the global discussions surrounding societal, gender, sexual and educational equality.
His first collection of poetry, The Northern Line, was published in March 2015 by Winter Goose Publishing. His second collection, I Can’t Find Me, is being released in Spring 2016 by the same publisher.
Dominic curates and hosts a monthly literary event, Listen Softly London, and performs his own poetry live at venues throughout the UK. He also runs an independent publisher of the same name.
Dominic volunteers as a writing mentor with a charity which develops creative writing skills in children in London, and he has curated and edited an anthology of poetry and short stories from children in care and their families called Growing Up in our House.
